I'm not reporting a bug. I chose Idea. This is a suggestion to add a SD startup auto-update time delay.

Both Firefox and SD are the latest. And, yes, the update windows grab cursor focus. Not talking about visual sharpness.

Here is a capture of SD auto updating. When it updates, each dial loads in it's own windowed Firefox window -- displayed on the right. The windowed update is smaller than the user maximized window on the left. When the user closes Firefox completely in a maximized state it will, at times, cause Firefox to open in a windowed state when the user starts Firefox again instead of the expected maximized state.

I found a workaround to duplicate an existing private tab, then Speed Dial does not load.

If you're on the background settings page, it's only for a local file.

Also, a new feature to delay updates for X period of time at browser startup would be nice too. Hey devs.... hint, hint.

Also using Firefox 57 with Speed Dial 64.3.5.

A suggestion to backup to sd file from time to time. Settings > Backup/Restore in file > Backup Dials > Export in file.

This has been previously submitted as feedback. Nimbus Web is aware of the concern. Yahoo is the current search engine in FVD Speed Dial. At this time, no additional information has been provided about a change plan.

Suggest to either turn off auto update in settings or edit dials to extend the update to a longer time.
