Auto-Refresh causes temporary new window to appear
Prior to today's update (61.9.8 - 25-SEP-2017), dials would auto-refresh silently. As of this morning, every time a dial refreshes (whether automatically, or I do it manually), a new browser window appears briefly for about 3-5 seconds. Hovering over it in the Dock (this is OSX 10.12.6) shows the web page being refreshed.
Why the sudden change in behavior?

It doesn't seem to work properly
Bookmarks from Chrome have been updated but not vice versa. Also I pushed the button "sync" in Firefox (not always available ??) and habe been waiting for 10 minutes now, still hanging.
wiped out all my speed dials and wont download and install from sync
ruined 5 years of work
