Me too would request the same....they do have the option you know the house with the colored
dots besides the bookmark star in address bar.... but it only adds the tab to default group.

I am sorry I think you have not understood my query.....whenever you used to right click on any tab then the context menu would have an option "add to speed-dial.... which is NO LONGER there as you claim it to be... please check the screenshot.
