Auto-Update Firefox

Jörg Möller 5 years ago updated by nimbusweb 5 years ago 5

I'm sorry, but since yor last Update Speed Dial has become totally useless for me. The reason: every time I open a new tab it tries to refresh the preview. I've tried 'Turn of Auto Update' and to use a local file, but nothing works. Every time it trys to refresh the update and that steals the focus, so it us very frustrating to work with a website. Do you have a recommendation how to make a downgrade or _really_ stop this Auto refresh?

This is the simples option, not always help but we encourage to try.

- Copy and paste in address bar about:support
- Select following http://nimb.ws/Vm5pjy
- Rename this folder to any name and restart Firefox http://nimb.ws/awxfuW BUT don't delete it. Just rename.

If it won't help, let us know.

Thank you very much, this hint helped immediately. After that, there were not only no more update attempts, but also previously disappeared dials including their click numbers were available again.
You did a pretty good job!

Thank you!

You can keep current version but Please also note:

We got many error reports, rolled back to the previous version. Just reinstall the extension.

Once we finish fixing major problems, we will launch a new update. Most likely you will have the same problem again.
You will need to do following:
Option #2 or #3

Unfortunately, you can't keep older version for a long because new FF57+ will automatically disable it. There is nothing we can do, that's how Firefox team implemented.
We try to fix everything that is possible.

Highly recommend using EverSync to backup your dails.

Thank you.

Good to know, thanks. I will then wait until I update to FF57. I need this browser because it's smart Autofill function. But I also need your Speed Dials!

By the way: if Mozilla's guys were smart, they would license Speed-Dial to you. For me, this is the AddOn that makes Firefox an unbeatable browser experience!
