The Speed Dial Icon configured for the Chrome Toolbar saves the currently displayed website to FVD Speed Dial, but NOT to the Currently Selected Group.

The Speed Dial Icon configured for the Chrome Toolbar saves the currently displayed website to FVD Speed Dial, but NOT to my Currently Selected Group. In my case I have a NEWS Group that the Chrome Dial Icon saves too. I cannot find any way to change it.

Hello

Can you send screenshot of this icon? Do you use Chrome?

Hi Nimbus Web,

Yes, I use Chrome.

You will notice in the Last Screenshot the "Global Options Menu" brings up the "Speed DIal Options Menu".  Then look at the bottom of the Menu under "Toolbar Button Actions" there is a Selection to "ADD the ACTIVE SITE to Speed Dial".

This Selection ADDS the Speed Dial Icon to the Chrome Toolbar.

Thank you,

Ponderosa

When Selecting "OPTIONS" from the Menu, it brings you to the Global Menu shown below.

Thank you for your report! We'll set this task to our discussion and try to make chagnes in the next update.

Hi Nimbus,

Please provide me an Updated Status for my request that the Speed Dial Icon DOES NOT SAVE the currently displayed website to the currently selected Speed Dial Group.

Please refer to previous entries.

Thank you,

Hi, Nimbus Support (Gleg Khegay),

Can you tell me when this issue will be resolved?  It is extremely annoying always having to go back to my News Group ( where all my New URLs are Saved when clicking the Speed Dial Extension Icon in the Toolbar ) and have to move each and every of the Newly added Speed Dials individually into there appropriate Speed Dial Groups.

Also, If this cannot be Corrected immediately, can there at least be a way to tag any number of Speed Dials so they can be moved simultaneously to the same Speed Dial Group in one move?

Please Advise,

Thank You,

Ponderosa

Hi Nimbus Support,

It has been over a year now that I requested a fix for this issue.

As I mentioned in my initial request, every time I view a new website and use the FVDspeed dial extension icon, the currently viewed website and any other website I view is saved to the same dial group every time I issue a save.  In my case, I have a speed dial group named NEWS where ALL saved websites go.  I don't know why Speed Dial is using my News Group as a Default Dial Group.

What I am Looking for is a way to save a website to the Correct Speed Dial group when initially saving the website.  At this time there is no option.

To make matters more difficult, I go to the NEWS group and have to move each and every newly added website one at a time to there appropriate dial groups.  This takes time and should be much easier to control and manage then it is.

If there was a bulk move option available, at least it would make this situation easier to manage.  I realize that this is a local request and yes, I do use Eversync, but only after I add any new websites.

I really like this Speed Dial Extension, it works really well for me.  Along with myself and others who are issuing there personal requests for options, features and bug fixes, we are ALL attempting to make this product much better for ALL users.

I am using Chrome Version 80.0.3987.87 (Official Build) (64-bit) on my MacBook Pro running High Sierra version 10.13.6

Please advise,

Thank you,

Ponderosa
