Canceling a save doesn't work - it downloads anyway!

Dean 3 months ago in FlashVideoDownloader • updated 3 months ago 5

If I click on a download button in FVD, I get a standard Save-As dialog, with "Save" and "Cancel" buttons.  But I've just noticed, if I click "Cancel" (or close the dialog using the "x" close button) the download proceeds anyway!

Your code seems to be ignoring the return value of the dialog box.  Please fix!

Thank you for your report. We will fix it in the next update.

I've found that if you cancel the download by clicking on the blue arrow to bring up the download dialog box, then clicking the actual download to cancel, it cancel the download.  I found this when I had to restart downloads that had failed and I wasn't going to sit through 9 - 10 - 11 hours for something to download.

Argus - Maybe so, but I never said you couldn't cancel downloads.  The bug I'm reporting is that if you get to the "Save As" stage and then change your mind and press "Cancel", it actually starts the download, and it shouldn't do that.

Dean, check our latest version from Jan 19 2018. We've fixed this bug.

Cancel button in both cases works as it should work.

Thanks Gleb, I'll do that.
