Hello Nimbus Support,

I apologize for the slow return response.

No, I did not get a chance to try a New Chrome and Firefox profile.

Right after I sent the previous messages with full the explanation of my system problems using FVD Speed Dial and Google Chrome, my 2011 MacBook Pro experienced graphics hardware issues due to the dual built-in graphics card in my system.  I am still trying to figure out a workaround, but I have not been able to as yet.  My system is down and will not boot up.  My last resort will be to bring it to Apple to see what they can do.  The last time I had Video issues with this MacBook Pro Apple Covered the Repairs valued at $500 to fix.  I am not going to spend that much this time if necessary.

I hope to return back on-line soon.

Thank You,

Ponderosa

Hi Nimbus Support,

I have to much Personal and Confidential information on my Macbook Pro Laptop.

I would like too give you access to check out the reasons for these issues, but I will NOT allow access to my laptop remotely.

I will continue to see if I can make some headway by trying different trouble shooting techniques.

In the last hour I changed the Speed Dial size to a much smaller size to help minimize the need for so much Video ram.

I cleared the Firefox cache, quit all my programs and shutdown the system.  When the system came up I  opened and minimized the FireFox screen

(I typically use Full screen on all of my programs that I ran) and waited a minute or so for the Speed Dial screen to load.

When it came up I noticed on the bottom right side corner of my laptop screen a minimized FireFox screen loading up the next Speed Dial in line followed by a quick Larger screen display which then disappeared and populated the Speed Dial Icon with the Web Site screen shot and then moved onto the next Speed Dial.

This continued until FireFox displayed a banner at the top of FireFox window that the memory is running low.

The Banner stated to WAIT or STOP the process.  If I Waited the Banner would disappear and then return a short time later.  I then selected Stop and the Updating Stoped.

The Strange thing is that the Speed Dial Icons Continued to Search with the spinning wheel going on and on inside each icon.  With this action Nothing changes at all.

When this happens I Force Quit FireFox and then bring it back up again.  FireFox loads but the screen is NOW BLANK, no matter what I do nothing changes.  Sometimes I am able to activate the Speed Dial Settings, but they also come up BLANK.

Regarding the Edit screen, for any of the Speed Dial icons, the MODIFY button does Not Work at all when selected and is NOT grayed out.

So I will continue to try and see if I can find something else that is causing these issues.  My finial step will be to completely re-image my hard drive with a fresh copy of the High Sierra OSx.

Any Ideas on your end would be greatly appreciated.

Background:

The following all happened about three weeks ago.

Please note up and until now I was using Google Chrome Version 79+ (which ran Beautifully) and when Google Chrome updated to Version #80 and then 80+* my

system started to lockup and Acted Really Strange.  I went through many different trouble shooting attempts, multiple reboots, etc, including deleting

Chrome and re-adding a fresh copy, but nothing worked.  I even ran a Safe MAC OSx Re-Image to bring things back to normal.

I went into Safe Mode and deleted every single file related to Chrome.  The System Finally Settled Down.  When I switch to Safari everything started to work fine.

Because I wanted to use Speed Dial I loaded Firefox.  The results I received are listed in the beginning paragraph of this note.

Please advise,

Thank you,

Hi Nimbus Support,

What did you find out and what is the resolution for this issue?

I would like to see this resolved as soon as possible.

Please advise,

Hi Nimbus Support,

It has been over a year now that I requested a fix for this issue.

As I mentioned in my initial request, every time I view a new website and use the FVDspeed dial extension icon, the currently viewed website and any other website I view is saved to the same dial group every time I issue a save.  In my case, I have a speed dial group named NEWS where ALL saved websites go.  I don't know why Speed Dial is using my News Group as a Default Dial Group.

What I am Looking for is a way to save a website to the Correct Speed Dial group when initially saving the website.  At this time there is no option.

To make matters more difficult, I go to the NEWS group and have to move each and every newly added website one at a time to there appropriate dial groups.  This takes time and should be much easier to control and manage then it is.

If there was a bulk move option available, at least it would make this situation easier to manage.  I realize that this is a local request and yes, I do use Eversync, but only after I add any new websites.

I really like this Speed Dial Extension, it works really well for me.  Along with myself and others who are issuing there personal requests for options, features and bug fixes, we are ALL attempting to make this product much better for ALL users.

I am using Chrome Version 80.0.3987.87 (Official Build) (64-bit) on my MacBook Pro running High Sierra version 10.13.6

Please advise,

Thank you,

Ponderosa

Are there any New Features or Options with this New Chrome Version 73.1.1 ?

Please Advise,

Hi, Nimbus Support (Gleg Khegay),

Can you tell me when this issue will be resolved?  It is extremely annoying always having to go back to my News Group ( where all my New URLs are Saved when clicking the Speed Dial Extension Icon in the Toolbar ) and have to move each and every of the Newly added Speed Dials individually into there appropriate Speed Dial Groups.

Also, If this cannot be Corrected immediately, can there at least be a way to tag any number of Speed Dials so they can be moved simultaneously to the same Speed Dial Group in one move?

Please Advise,

Thank You,

Ponderosa

Hi Nimbus,

Please provide me an Updated Status for my request that the Speed Dial Icon DOES NOT SAVE the currently displayed website to the currently selected Speed Dial Group.

Please refer to previous entries.

Thank you,

Hi Gleb,

Current Update:

I checked my FVD Speed Dial for Chrome Extension Version number on my MacBook Pro and found that it has been updated to Version 68.9.8 from Version 67.7.8.  I was unaware earlier that it updated Automatically.  No indication at all as an end user.  I have noticed there are some minor changes, but not sure what was actually done in this version regarding bug fixes and product changes.

Overall, this updated version is working well for me at this time.  As I mentioned in my earlier post, I do not use this Chrome Extension on Multiple computers and Cross-platform like many others do.  So I am not experiencing any issues as reported by others in this forum.

Thank you,

Ponderosa

Hi Gleb,

No, I am not having any problems with the current Chrome Version 67.7.8.  The reason for my question was because I have requested along with other's additional features, etc. and wondering when and if they will be added to the Chrome extension at some later date.

Please note, I have been using Speed Dial FVD for only a few months now running Speed Dial FVD on my Macbook Pro running High Sierra in a stand-alone configuration.

I do not use Safari or Firefox at this time and therefore are not experiencing any issues using Speed Dial in this standalone manner.

I do use the EverHelper program to backup my Bookmarks and Speed Dials and aside from testing this extension using the free version I am very happy with the way it is working.

If and when I decide to start using additional browsers then I may run into issues and I will request support as needed.

Hopefully, that will not be the case.

Thank you,

Ponderosa

That sounds like a very good update.  I also made a request to be able to add a second or third row or to be able to add Groups at least along all three sides of the screen.
