Speed dials are resetting to factory state at every restart of the browser(FF).

Suraj Nagesh 7 years ago updated by nimbusweb 7 years ago 4

I have been using FVD Speed Dial for years now, have had amazing experience with it.

I don't know what lead to this but all my updates are on automatic with no manual prompt needed.

Yesterday, i woke up and started browsing the internet when all of a sudden every time i opened a new tab, all my tabs were reset to a previous state which was at least a year old(I have made huge changes since then). Since this started happening i had no clue what was going on, every time i opened a new tab or restarted the browser, its the same story, i get the window which shows the normal or 3D view slide(which you get when you install this add on for the first time). this has been happening all this time and hasn't been fixed.
Please help fix this.

Hi,

This is the simples option, not always help but we encourage to try.

- Copy and paste in address bar about:support
- Select following http://nimb.ws/Vm5pjy
- Rename this folder to any name and restart Firefox http://nimb.ws/awxfuW BUT don't delete it. Just rename.

If it won't help, let us know.

Did not help at all, every time i restart my computer it all gets reset to the factory state.

The problem still persists.

Please help

ITS OFFICIAL,

something is not rite, that's for sure.

I have a backup file on my system that im trying to restore through the backups tab

I load the file and it says that it will take about 40 seconds.

1 hour later, no change still have the same screen restoring.

I tried to relog into my account and the account tab is spazzing out like crazy, there is a FVD logo in the middle thats fluttering with my account details in the background.

You guys at nimbus need to go all hands on deck for this to be solved soon.

Also, if you don't see welcome message but settings get rest, that will be fixed next update soon.

We got many error reports, rolled back to the previous version. Just reinstall the extension.

Once we finish fixing major problems, we will launch a new update. Most likely you will have the same problem again.
You will need to do following:
Option #2 or #3

Unfortunately, you can't keep older version for a long because new FF57+ will automatically disable it. There is nothing we can do, that's how Firefox team implemented.
We try to fix everything that is possible.

Highly recommend using EverSync to backup your dails.

Thank you.
