Settings of FVD Speed Dial get reset after every 3-5 reboots after update

Ronak 1 year ago • updated 1 year ago 4

The FVD Speed Dial resets to the default settings after every 3-5 reboots of the PC after update for the new Firefox. The dials are preserved but the background colour, text colour, dials size are restored to the default values. This has started after the extension was updated (the update in which the 3D dials were added).

Hi,

This is the simples option, not always help but we encourage to try.

- Copy and paste in address bar about:support
- Select following http://nimb.ws/Vm5pjy
- Rename this folder to any name and restart Firefox http://nimb.ws/awxfuW BUT don't delete it. Just rename it, for example Storage_OLD

If it won't help, let us know.

Also, if you don't see welcome message but settings get rest, that will be fixed next update soon.

I tried renaming the storage folder. But then I lose all the dials too. So I renamed it back to 'storage'. So the problem should have returned too. I am hoping a solution is found soon.

Also, I get the welcome message when the settings are reset.

Roll back the old folder - rename it back.

Just uзdate the extension.

Once we finish fixing major problems, we will launch a new update. Most likely you will have the same problem again.
You will need to do following:
Option #2 or #3
https://everhelper.me/help1.php

Unfortunately, you can't keep older version for a long because new FF57+ will automatically disable it. There is nothing we can do, that's how Firefox team implemented.
We try to fix everything that is possible.

Highly recommend using EverSync to backup your dails.

Thank you.

The problem has not recurred after the update. I guess it can be considered as solved.
