'done' button does nothing in FF42

hotzeplotz 4 years ago in Nimbus Capture - FireFox • updated by nimbusweb 4 years ago 1
Nimbus has been working great for me over the past few weeks, until my distro's rolling updates brought in FF42: now all works until clicking on the 'done' button, when nothing happens - so in fact i'm not able to save screenshots after capturing and editing them. no error messages are displayed: the 'done' button is clickable but it just doesn't trigger any action.

Are the amazonaws image links permalinks? (context menu bug, forum upload from web link bug)

bgoodr 5 years ago in Nimbus Capture - FireFox 0
Are links such as https://s3.amazonaws.com/fvd-data/notes/341875/1422037640-lpgC1J/screen.png
permalinks that I can rely upon to post into forums, or are they short-lived links only resulting from step 6 below?

Posting this as a bug because when filing this I found two bugs (marked as BUG below):

Steps I did :

  1. Save a note to the Nimbus Notes area
  2. Go go Nimbus Notes using: https://nimbus.everhelper.me/client/
  3. Single left mouse click on the note. Why? Because there is a BUG here
    1. In Firefox you have to first left mouse button click on the name of the note, and second, right mouse click on the note to see the Javascript context menu, as otherwise you will get the Firefox context menu and not the one provided by Nimbus Notes.
    2. Probably not a bug you can do anything about in a Firefox extension, so this is to warn other users about it.
  4. Right mouse click on a note to bring up the context menu.
  5. Click on Get Public Link
  6. In the page that is displayed, click on the screenshot.
  7. See a URL of https://s3.amazonaws.com/fvd-data/notes/341875/1422037640-lpgC1J/screen.png
    1. Which I would paste here but there is another BUG in the fvdmedia.userecho.com forum: The Insert Image icon is busted: it does not do anything ... I expected the image to be downloaded from https://s3.amazonaws.com/fvd-data/notes/341875/1422037640-lpgC1J/screen.png and pasted right here).
    2. Hacked around it by saving the image to disk and inserting it:

The whole point of this: We need to make it easier to have permalinks directly to screenshots for collaboration elsewhere in the web, not just inside the nimbus products.

Thanks! And kudos again for a promising extension! Even with all of my complaints, I love it!

How nice - an extension that does nothing

No button, no context item, no sign that the extension even exists other than its listing in addons manager even after multiple restarts and reboots. Wow, I thought FF26 would be included somewhere in that range of 4.0 - 40. Gonna go kill myself now. Have a nice day.

I am using Nimbus Screen Capture as an addon to Firefox; it is much better than the other most patronized screen capture, but his latter one is only for a period after which it is endlessly asking you to buy if you want to use it further. But I am now...

Firefox won't install Nimbus; "FF cannot modify needed file"

I'd like to install Nimbus, because I need a way to capture and save some web pages. I do not know what file FireFox refers to when it says it can''t install Nimbus; it cannot "modify the needed file".
